I have a wedding coming up this weekend, and I got two lenses in the mail that I rented from
www.lensrentals.com. I rented the Canon EF16-35mm f/.28L II USM lens and the
Lens Baby Composer. I will end up buying both lenses eventually, but right now, renting makes more sense. Well, since I got the lenses, I figure I might as well play! Plus I need to learn how to use the Lens Baby much better. This image was captured with the Lens Baby and the f/2.8 disc. I think this image will end up being printed for the wall as well!

Today’s image isn’t really an image I went out to make. It is strictly to show off what arrived today! A couple of weeks ago, I ordered a framed print from Simply Color Lab of my day 26 image of daffodils emerging from their winter slumber. I love the image so much that I got it printed 16×24 with a 2 inch matte and a cool black frame. Simply Color Lab is a new service from Simply Canvas, and I wanted to try out their service. I am extremely happy with the print. The only thing I am disappointed in is how reflective it is. I wish they would have a non-glare glass option. The type of paper I printed on may have added to it, but it really is a cool image. I would love to sell it as a limited edition fine art print.

My mom and step-dad went to Las Vegas over Easter, and one of the places they visited was the M&M factory. My mom got my daughter some temporary M&M tattoos. Addison loves tattoos! She put this one on her leg, and it really looks pretty darn real! Some day she will look back at this and laugh!

Today we celebrated Easter at my mom’s house. She was in Las Vegas during actual Easter, so we did it today. My brother and I hid some eggs outside for Addison to find. This was an action shot of her running to find the eggs. She did really good and found most without any hints. Some were in some tricky spots, but most were easy. She is only 3 after all!!
Today I had a huge plate of nachos for lunch! They were excellant and looked kind of cool.

This morning we got to wake up to a couple of inches of snow! Now it hasn’t snowed here for a bit, but somehow, we got it today, and quite a bit of it! They are forcasting up to 4 inches or so I think. I was really hoping to be done with snow, but it made for a nice image this morning!

Tomorrow Apple will be making an announcement regarding the iPhone 4.0 OS. There are many rumors running around the internet regarding what 4.0 will bring. I have to say, that I have been pretty happy with the 3.0 OS, so I am not too worried about that, but I am hoping that Apple will be announcing the new iPhone tomorrow. My iPhone is now 2 years old. It is the 3G model, and I bought it the day the 3G came out, but it is feeling old. A few weeks ago I upgraded my wife’s phone from a Motorola Razr to the newest iPhone 3GS. Playing around with that a little bit, I love the camera on it, and it just feels faster. I am hoping the new iPhone brings camera upgrades and speed improvements. Beyond that, I really don’t know what to expect. I know that they probably won’t release it until summer, but I really hope it is sooner than later. Tonight’s image is in honor of tomorrow’s announcement. It is actually a composite of two images. I made one image of the iPhone it self, and then one image of the screen. I couldn’t get both at the same time, so I had to combine them in Photoshop. I think the image tuned out kind of interesting.

Tonight, Tonight I decided to take a little ride through High Cliff State Park. I was hoping to see some deer to take pictures of since it was rainy, and a thunder storm was coming. I did see a few deer, but nothing up close I could get good images from. I then went down by the marina and saw this image. All the sail boats are waiting to get back in to the water to enjoy the summer, but none have been put back in yet. Being that it was raining (pretty hard) I made this image from my truck, and decided to make it black and white because of the dull sky. I think the black and white adds to the feeling as well.
So after I did my previous post, I was getting ready to make supper(chicken on the grill), and realized that I was out of gas. I went to the gas station to get the gas, and on the way back home I saw a wild turkey strutting in the middle of the road. I was able to get right up to him, but I couldn’t get a good picture of him strutting. Moral of the story, I need a better camera to carry with me all the time.

Today is opening day for the Milwaukee Brewers. Now, I am not much of a baseball fan, but my wife is. She dressed Caleb in this Brewers outfit today to celebrate opening day. I captured this quick picture of him while we were playing at the park with my iPhone.
