This is a picture of one of my daughters dolls, that happens to be about the same size as him. I was playing around with lighting and also with my new Canon EF 100mm Macro lens and took some shots to see how the lighting and lens was working. I then worked on it in Lightroom and gave it a split tone look that kind of makes it feel cross processed. I will be shooting the portraits of my on tomorrow, but for now you get an old Cabbage Patch doll. Xavier Roberts would be happy.

Snowman

Last night after the photo shoot, and since I had my stuff all set up, I decided to play a little with light and see what I get. We have this snowman decoration that is just about as tall as my daughter and is able to stand and sit on it’s own. I posed him and then played with the lighting to learn more about it. It was kind of fun seeing the how different lighting had an effect on him. This is one of my favorites, and I shot all these with my new 24-70 F2.8L lens, so it was a good test of that as well.

We were driving down Highway 43 when we decided to stop at the rest stop that is a little south of Fond Du Lac. We pulled up and parked next to a group of people that were obviously heading to the Brewers game. While we were leaving, I happend to look over to my right to see that the guy by the car next to us was digging in the cooler in the trunk of the car. What does he pull out? An ice cold beer of course! He cracks it open and starts to drink it. Now, I don’t know if he was the driver or not (I really hope not!), but where else other than Wisconsin could you not even wait until you got to the parking lot to start drinking. Oh, and by the way, this was at about 9:00 in the morning. Only in Wisconsin!
