This is a slideshow of some of my favorite images from Matt and Renee’s wedding last weekend. Matt and Renee are a really special couple and their day was fantastic. We had a beautiful day for their wedding and there were a ton of family and friends there. It is really easy to see that these two belong together and will last a lifetime! I am extremely happy that Matt and Renee allowed me to be a part of one of the most important days of their lives. I wish them many, many years of happiness and joy.
My brother and I are in the process of driving down to Jacksonville Beach, FL to photograph a wedding on Sunday. so far it has been a pretty interesting and fun trip. The first surprising thing is that the Magelan GPS app that I downloaded for my iPhone works AMAZINGLY well! A lot better than the old Magellan GPS that is 2 years old. I also bought the MAgellan Cradle for that works with the GPS app, and together it is great! We decided to go against the GPS and not go through Nashville on the way down. The reason is that we are going to be stopping in Nashville on the way home, so we wanted some different scenery. Also, by taking a little alternate route, we get to go through North and South Carolina as well. In fact, I am writing this at a Red Roof Inn in Spartanburg, South Carolina right now. We ran into a little bit of trouble, because the route from Knoxville, TN to Asheville, NC was closed due a rock slide that closed the entire highway October 2009. So we ended up having to take this alternate route through these small little towns. Took forever! But we got to see some cool countryside. We also got to see a mountain on fire. They must have been dong a controlled burn on the mountain, but you could see it burning. Was kind of cool. I also saw a couple of Black Bears in Tennessee, so that was pretty cool. The Red Roof Inn is alright for a quick overnight stop, but it was free thanks to my good friend Kendra who won a free stay during a radio contest. She said, she probably wouldn’t use it and gave it to me. Luckily, the south is riddled with Red Roof Inns. That and Waffle Houses. Seems like every exit ramp has a Waffle House. We ate at one last night in Asheville, NC to see how it was. Not too bad actually. Today we will finish the drive to our hotel near Jacksonville Beach, FL. looking forward to more fun times today. We both got to go through states we have never been to before, and now today we will hit Georgia and Florida. Unfortunately, I did take a picture, just a quick snap of me and my brother driving, but I don’t have time to post it till later maybe. But I am hoping to more than make up for it later.
If anyone out there is considering a photographer, do NOT choose these two! Judge Joe Brown, who really knows his stuff, smacks these two “professional” photographers with a judgement $1500 above what the plaintiff was asking for! These photographers were using and entry level DSLR (The Canon Rebel XTi), and kit lenses that come with the camera. Any one can get this kit right now at Best Buy for probably $800 and get a printer thrown in too! I actually started with a kit similar to this to learn the basics, and when I decided to open my business, I opened my check book! A good photographer could probably get away with using the camera, but those lenses are paperweights! This is why I only use top of the line camera bodies, and top of the line lenses, flashes, and anything else I have. These so called “professional” photographers got exactly what they deserved! This is also why it pays to ask the photographer about their equipment. Even if you don’t know exactly what they are talking about, the photographer better! These ladies didn’t even know the speed of their lens! That is probably only the top 1 or 2 things you should know! Rest assured, that this kind of situation would never happen with Adam Marin Photography. Besides acting like and having professional equipment, I absolutely stand behind my work 100%. If you are not happy, 100% money back!

Family Portrait Month 2009
Don’t miss our special “Family Portrait Month” promotion!
This October, Adam Marin Photography will participate with an elite group of photographers around the country in a very special family portrait promotion. Throughout October we will celebrate “Family Portrait Month,” a wonderful opportunity for you update your family portrait (or portraits of your children), and help to support Operation Smile, which treats children around the world who suffer with cleft lips, cleft palates and other facial deformities.
Along with other studio members of Professional Photographers of America (PPA), we have pledged to contribute to PPA Charities, which has chosen Operation Smile as its charitable partner.
What’s more, we want you to benefit from this special offer: with ANY print purchase you make, you will receive a FREE 8×10 print!
Recording the faces of children and their families is our greatest pleasure. That’s why we believe so strongly in the work of Operation Smile. Each year this incredible organization of more than 6,000 volunteer doctors, nurses, dentists, and specialized health-care professionals, perform free reconstructive surgeries for children suffering with cleft lips, cleft palates and other facial deformities. More than 100,000 children are born with a facial deformity each year in Operation Smile’s 26 partner countries.
We also believe that Family Portrait Month is a wonderful way to teach children the value of reaching out to others. Even small children can understand the importance of Operation Smile’s work, and they are eager to help these needy children.
We hope you will join with us in helping to make this vital work possible. Don’t forget that the holiday season is right around the corner, so there’s no better time for a family portrait, which is always appreciated as gifts for family and friends and to send along with holiday greeting cards.
As always . . . we look forward to creating some truly wonderful portraits of your family. Call Now! Appointments are limited!

I hope everyone had a good 4th of July! With the new baby we have been extremely busy, but we did have a cookout on Saturday for the 4th. I was busy cooking away on the grill, and I had gone in to get something, and when I came back out and looked up, there was this Whitetail Deer standing about 30 feet away eating out of my neighbors feeder. This was about 4:30 in the afternoon. I grabbed my wife’s point and shoot to snap a picture quick to prove to my neighbors what was going on, and ran to my office to get my camera. This and a few others are the pictures I got. The buck left shortly after I snapped some quick shots. A little while later the in-laws came over for supper and a bonfire. Grandpa went and got some fireworks, and my daughter loved them (just the showering sparkle kind, nothing crazy). All in all it was a good day! Hope yours was too!
