I did this portrait a little different than I have done in the past. I went with more of a flat type lighting pattern. I usually like to do more of a rembrandt or a loop lighting pattern, but I think the flat light suited her much better and she is very happy with the portrait. I am happy with it as well!

I think the image turned out pretty nice. I like doing the business sessions because I get to meet interesting people. Kelly has been with her company for 10 years, and every five years they have you get a portrait done. I think this is a really great idea, because, if nothing else, it makes you get a portrait done. It is important to have pictures done so that you can look back on your life and remember how great your life was. Too many people don’t get portraits done.

What is the significance you say? Well, I will tell you. I have officially opened for business. I am now looking for clients to photograph. I will be doing portraits (including families, kids, adults, pets, maternity), events, Seniors, and most importantly weddings. I say most importantly, because other than having kids, your wedding day is probably the most memorable, fun, frantic, and wonderful day of your life. I want to be there to capture those moments as they are happening and give you something to look at 20, 30, 60 years from now and remember fondly of the day you got married. So if any one out there happens to know of someone looking for a wedding or other photographer. Please direct them to my website or having them call or email me to setup an appointment.
