Today we celebrated Easter at my mom’s house. She was in Las Vegas during actual Easter, so we did it today. My brother and I hid some eggs outside for Addison to find. This was an action shot of her running to find the eggs. She did really good and found most without any hints. Some were in some tricky spots, but most were easy. She is only 3 after all!!

Today while we were shopping at Sam’s Club, we saw these Easter Lily’s and with my new found fondness for flower images, I decided to buy them. This image turned out to be my favorite from the shoot for a couple reasons. I wanted a portrait orientation image and I really like the lighting on the flower. This is a studio image against a black background. I sprayed it down with water to add some interest to the image, and lit it with a large soft box. Editing was done in Lightroom 3 Beta 2, Photoshop CS4, and Topaz Adjust 4.

Today my daughter got to color Easter Eggs at Grandma Debbie’s house. She is going to be in Las Vegas during Easter, and didn’t want to miss Addison coloring eggs, so we decided to do it a little early. She had so much fun coloring the eggs! She is getting so big, she was doing most of the work all by herself. It makes me sad, but happy that I am a photographer and she and her brother are my favorite subjects, so we will have lot of memories for years to come. This shot was of some eggs she had finished coloring. It was lit just with natural light.
